Hi Jamie, love your first post! As someone who has also been on Twitter since 2009 I am sorry to see what it is devolving into. But I've made a concerted effort to seriously curate my feed and refuse to rely on the outrage algorithm. I refuse to be chased away!

I adore your recipe posts, especially when you include the history of the food you're featuring. And I appreciate deeply the feelings you express in both your frustrations and comments on the political scene, and respect your remarks re: Twitter/X. If it weren't for the few people I treasure hearing from, I'd had left long ago but I have a fairly well curated newsfeed there, and for the most part only hear from people I follow and trust. Thank you for staying.

So delighted to be subscribed to your newsletter! It’s so thoughtful! I miss all of my Twitter friends so much, despite being at personal enmity with the platform, and it’s new owner. I absolutely love your writing, and recipes! <3

Lovely first newsletter, Jamie! So glad you decided to write about Twitter. I'm only a few years in, so it's heartening to read of the healthier happier times for folks creating communities without too much negativity in the Before times. Even so, I'm beyond grateful for finding uplifting, generous, & fascinating peeps like you! Many blessings to you & yours ❣️

I did find you on Twitter! And years later, I ended up visiting Chinon and tasting some of your incomparably delicious ananas et oranges jam! I will always be grateful for the experiences that resulted from my joining Twitter, the books I ended up reading that I saw recommended there, the very educational and enlightening conversations I happened upon there, the news and science that I could always follow there without any of the noise that plagues the other platforms, and so much more! While our little blue bird is going through some stuff, I don't want to part with it yet. Meanwhile, I am happy to be here too. Thank you for sharing so much with us!

OH and I definitely look forward to trying this recipe for the holidays this year, you had me at ALL the spices :))))
