OMG! I just got around to reading this! What a gift--three chocolate chestnut cakes! Not sure I can choose between them. Seems like something very special to make for the holidays. Thank you, Jamie!
Chocolate & chestnut ~ one of my favorite combinations! I have a chocolate-chestnut bavarese in my book Big Night In but I have not made it in years…thanks for reminding me of this stellar pairing 🍫🌰✨
I've been trying to get my daughter and my niece, one a chef and one a Baker to join substack and I keep sending them your links in the hope they take the bait! I would be so impressed if they made one, especially the first one as that sounds sublime 💕💕
hahaha text them just the close up photos! There is no way they'll be able to resist hahaha. Thank you for sharing with them and when they make one please share a photo!
I know you can buy it on Amazon though it's a bit pricey. But the fondant is worth it. Or save it for a special occasion and make the first recipe. I don't know of a substitute. Either way, let me know if you do make any one of them!
Just made the fondant au chocolat and am now uncomfortably waiting out the "let it set" period...
Ahhhhhhhh haha it’s hard but worth it! Enjoy!
SOOO delicious! It really is simultaneously dense and light!
Thanks! Been following you since the Isolation Baking days...

Hahaha yeah….i love each of them. It’s hard to choose so….one after the other? Happy Hanukkah, Ruth!
Thanks so much, Jamie! Yes, one after another, but first cinnamon stars! Wishing you all the light, peace and happiness that the holidays can bring!🤗
Ooo lala! I can’t wait to try these. Thanks for sharing.♥️
Let me know if you make one!! Or two!

Thank you, Greg!
I think I need to make all 3… 🙄☺️ Time to invest in a scale 🙌
Hahaha yes you do! And send pics!
Yum! Thank you. My French mother-in-law makes a fondant cake with creme de marron (chestnut cream) & chocolate using that's delicious too.
Thank you for these wonderful recipe gifts - so excited to get baking!
Can't wait to try these in my new Saumur kitchen!!🤗
Omg when do you move in???

Would love to make the chestnut chocolate fondant. Any subs for the chestnut creme? Not sure I can find in US.

there are several recipes for chestnut cream online, including one from Yankee Magazine, but it looks like it takes some commitment.
