I loathe Valentine's Day for many reasons, but I love the flavor of chestnuts and happen to have an unopened can of purée impulsively purchased at E. Leclerc on one of our hotel runs.

I just paid $13 for a dozen here in SF. I display them in a golden bowl set by my front window for passersby to envy and admire.

I’m a real Chestnut fan, Northern Italians love their chestnuts and this looks perfect. I missed this one for V day but it’ll make a great birthday cake, cone March! This is a keeper Jamie❤️
